March was one of a crazy month for me. I've been on the road almost the WHOLE MONTH. Jyeah, the cool thing about MYC! Roadshows is that we get to travel && transportation + accommodations are F.O.C (well basically paid for lah). So jyeah, we traveled to the whole of KL-SELANGOR, MELAKA, JOHOR & PENANG! :)

This is what we had to do :-

Step 1 : Give them free makeover & hairstyle

Step 2: Recruit girls to join the competition

Step 3 : Get them to "LIKE" the Herbal Essences Malaysia & Singapore fan page as well as the MYC! fan page.

Step 4 : Sell them products with that is under the student promotion.

PENANG :-
This one was my FAVORITE one among all the places I have been. At Penang, we had friends that brought us around for DINNER :) Hahaha

DAY 1:

Okay, this is a MUST SHARE!! There were cows in the middle of town, sitting outside the petrol station :O && they have ear-rings wehh!! GUNGHO COWS!

DAY 3 :

Food's so good in Penang, this is what 4 girls ate && it's only Appetizers.

Then we headed to a private beach to play :)

The place was beautiful, drinking by the beach was fun. && YES I DRINK!!

We had TIGER. Okay, the boys had TIGER! I only had one bottle of Heineken.

&& Yet, I was almost drunk -.-" Bad drinker, Virginie, BAD DRINKER!

At least I wasn't wasted. This is Winnie && a very very RED me!

Lastly, they brought us for SHISHA!! :) Yummy!!!

So thank you guys, for showing us around && for the amazing hospitality. We'd definitely love to come back again for a visit. Bring us for more O'chien?

Rev-up Masters of Graduation

Working with MYC! We get to organize events on behalf of our clients. Master of Rev-up was one of them. For this post, I'm gonna write less and let the pictures do most of the talking :)

Basically, this is my job. I usher as well as present. The term they use is "STAND & LOOK PRETTY"

It was definitely a Sunday to remember. One of the many great experiences I have gained while working with MYC! for the past few months. I've made many new friends. Families to be exact.

Internship = Great Experience.

Rights, for our 5th semester, we are required to undergo a 3 months internship with a company of your choice. So, I have chosen to intern at Seventeen Magazine @ BluInc. Sadly, there's been some complications of some sort thus, I ended up interning at MYC! @ Salient Information Sdn. Bhd.

I would have to say that I wasn't expecting much from my internship as I was pretty upset about not being placed at Seventeen. My first week was a blur in the office but as the days passed by, I grew to love MYC! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ellyse, the Deputy Editor && Kelvin, the Copywriter are amazing bosses and seniors. They've not only taught me a lot, they actually gave me opportunities to write things I never dreamed of writing as an Intern. I've always heard that Interns are mainly Coffee-girls, Copy-girl && Carry-girl. But NO! I was a FULL ON, Junior Copywriter for the Magazineeeeee :)

Among the opportunities that were given to me :-

1. I was given the chance to write a full page article that is going to be published, topic of my choice :O
2. I got to follow and accompany the models for their photoshoot and makeover.
3. I was given the chance to handle press-realeses, write ups.
4. I got to go for Food Review. (DELICIOUS, EXPENSIVE FOOD FOR FREE)
5. I got to write Book Reviews, Movie Reviews, Music Reviews. (We get to keep the books, the original CD's for free)
6. I interviewed A-listed socialites/celebrities such as Vanessa & Pamela Chong :)

I really got to learn a lot and I know that one day in the future, it will be of great help to me. Boss happens to call me "SUPER-INTERN" as I was the Intern that runs about keeping the energy of the company at top-notch, laughing, singing out loud, being the hyper me that I am. Also because I handle 3 different departments on my own. I mean, interns are often placed under ONE department but I have been doing Editorial, Admin/Book-keeping & Events all at one go. That's for bottling up all my energy && keeping me in the office =.="

Among the people I got really close to would definitely be both my Bosses, ELLYSE & KELVIN who are absolutely AMAZING. The artistic Graphic Designer who sits behind me ----> Amileen (Crazy KOREAN FANATIC), Adrina (Big Boss' PA, HOT & SEXY), Sonia (PR girl) && Liyana (Very happy & bubbly). The others are fun too. Just not so hyper :D


All in all, we're just one happy family && I'm more than happy to be placed here. MYC! will forever be my home :)

Sweet Comeback!

As I have promised, I have finally returned to my dusty-old blog. && yes, I'm gonna crash-blog tonight in order to compensate for the ONE YEAR of absence. To be brutally honest, I thought of killing the blog. However, there was a day that I was walking through Berjaya Times Square where I've bumped into an old friend who told me that he is a LOYAL FOLLOWER and that he's been eagerly awaiting for an update on what's going on with my life. That there itself made me think that maybe, JUST MAYBE, I am not alone after all and that there are people out there who really cares for me :)

So jyeah, I'm back and I'm giving it another go. Then again, the possibility of starting a new blog is high. I'll just have to sleep over the idea and figure out if I should make that change ^.^

I haven't been on this site for almost a year now && when I saw the things posted on my chatbox, I was touched. Not only have I gotten smiles, I've gotten quite a number of console that made me feel a whole lot better. So,

Oops!!

This baby has been left unattended for a LONG LONG time. HAHAH I blame it on my ex! Anyways, after I'm done with my S.W.O.T analysis for my internship report, I promise to update every aspect of my life in the past 8 months. From post-breakup trauma, to my hottest new flings. My internship as well updates on Chinese New Year and my current activities all planned up. Stay tuned and get ready for a roller coaster ride through the Ups and Downs of Virginie Laurency's life :D
