The Life Of An AirAsia AllStar!

I've decided to back track a little to all the things that sorta happened while I was gone. Yeah, one of them was that I joined AirAsia as a Social Media executive! The life of an AllStar is one that could never ever be replaced. I've had so much fond memories and experiences. I've made new friends, I've learned new thing, I've went to countless of events and I was able to fly across Asia. Not to mention, I actually got to meet with celebrities too!!

What do I do when I was in AirAsia? I was the Social Media executive, that means I am the official voice behind AirAsia's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Blog! I do copywriting for the posts that are to be out on the Social Media and I communicate with the fans. Yeah, well work is work - nothing much to highlight there but HEY! My team and I, we did a good job! So much so that we got on my boss' twitter!

There you see? "The BEST Social Media team in the world. AirAsia now the largest airline for Facebook and Instagram". Haha, I was so proud of myself :B In case you don't know who my boss was, he's the big man below && he was an awesome boss! Mr Tony Fernandes :) *he actually greeted me on my first day of work*

The World's Best Ever Airline :)

Basically, my team we're really tightly knitted. Of course we've had our ups and downs but if it is not work related and we leave all the politics behind, I really do think that we are nicely bonded already. We go for trips together, celebrate birthdays, have nice dinners and even have fun dressing up at work. It's never really a dull place at AirAsia.

A delicious meal at Sukiyaki <3

The culture at AirAsia is always fun-filled. Truth be told, I sometimes wake up and realize that I've left the company. I really really missed it there. One of the best company I've worked in. If I were to relive my life, I'd still make my way to AirAsia to work at least once in my life. Haha, all kinds of things happens there and it's not unusual. Firstly, we have this culture called the "Funky Friday" where every Friday, everyone has to dress up according to the theme selected.

The "LIP LAP" Friday

 It's Military Friday

There was once, everyone literally came to work in Pyjamas :) Well, besides 'Funky Friday', we also do all kinds of crazy stuff such as dressing up, being an idiot, play with pets and COOKING too!

We're all dressed up as Rockstars today!

*speechless* I love this lady though <3

 Yes, THAT IS a SNAKE!

And yes, we made microwaved brownies in a cup! It was simply delicious!

Next up would be the events that I got to attend to and the celebrities I got to meet. I literally was LIVING-THE-LIFE! Hahaha, from Malaysian Superstar, International Motorsport Riders, to Legendary footballers! I was starstruck! And the events were amazing! Music festivals, Formula 1 race.... even our ANNUAL PARTY was the bomb!

 This is FOWLEY!
Although he was super famous, he was super friendly and such a darling during dinner!

The Moto3 Riders :) Arthur, Danny, SANDRO & Fahmi :)

And of course, my favorite QPR player, ALEJANDRO FAURLIN! <3

 Haha, Siti Nur Haliza! <3
Future Music Festival Backstage yo! Able to watch Psy & FUN perform <3

Now this was our Annual Party! Ain't it simply just the BOMB?! :) We rented the WHOLE Sunway for this!

But you want to know what I love the most about being in AirAsia? What I love the most is the people! All of my colleague. The fantabulous-divas, the crazy geeks, the artistic designers and the darling loves! I've came to have a special bond with a few group of people and I must say that the Creative Team has always welcomed me and made me feel like I was a part of them! <3 And of course there's the off-load gang :)

Oh but most of all, it's this guy that I love the most! Hahaha, he is always there to brighten up my day at work. So much love for you dearest friend <3

I guess looking back, I've had a pretty good experience. NO REGRETS! <3

xoxo, ever yours,
Virginie Laurency
